BSF Jawans save life of one more woman patient

Chitrakonda: Once again setting an example of bravery and humanity, the BSF Jawans in Chitrakonda area came to the rescue of a woman patient and helped her reach a nearby hospital after ferrying her through Gurupriya river here on Saturday.

As per sources, the woman Rukuna Kanchai from Jantapai village in the cut-off area delivered a male child at Badapada Primary Health Centre, two kms from the BSF camp.

However, the health condition of Rukuna deteriorated after the delivery following which the nursing assistant referred her to the Chitrakonda Community Health Centre.

Getting information, BSF troops of COB Badapada and Janbai rushed to the spot and evacuated the patient from Badapada to Janbai by boat and then from Janbai to Chitakonda CHC.

As per the latest information, the condition of both the mother and the child is stated to be normal.
