Malkangiri: Kankarkunda and Kanyashram bridges in Malkangiri have completely submerged in  rain water with water level rising over four feet above the bridges leaving hundreds stranded on both sides of the two bridges following incessant rains since Monday.

Road communication between Malkangiri-Kalimela and Kalimela-Padia was completely snapped due to increase in water level of Poteru river.

Police reached the spot and asked stranded people not to cross the bridges. The district administration took measures to ensure that no one attempts to cross the bridges which were partially inundated.
