Brahmagiri: At least 30 persons were injured, including six critically after bombs were hurled during a group clash between Baghamunda and Sipakuda villages under Krushnaprasad block of Puri district today.

As per reports, besides bombs, bullets were also fired during the group fight over construction of a jetty on a patch of government land in Kianasi. Both the groups hurled around 100 bombs during the clash.

Some villagers of Baghamunda alleged as many as 20 boats were torched by residents of Sipakuda.

Sources said villagers of Sipakuda have been opposing the jetty construction which is the main reason behind the pitched battle.

Meanwhile, police are yet to reach the spot due to the ongoing bombing in the area.
