Niali: Unidentified miscreants allegedly hurled bombs at the residence of Pokharigaon Sarpanch Bhagirathi Mallick in Niali block of Cuttack district last night.

According to sources, the miscreants also opened fire in the air in Pokharigaon and Ghanapur villages before fleeing the spot. One Arakhita Das of Pokharigaon village sustained minor injuries in the incident.

While no complaint has been registered, sources informed that police reached the spot and have launched an investigation. Police have seized an empty bullet shell from the spot.
