Body remains unrecovered two days post accident

Jharsuguda: In what could be termed as lackadaisical attitude of police and locals, the body of a dumper driver who got killed  in an accident on duty near Laijera of Jharsuguda district on Friday, lies unrecovered from under the dumper even after two days.

Even the construction company the victim had been working for has remained negligent and not reached the spot.

Sources said, the metal-carrier dumper lost control and turned turtle following which the driver got crushed under the dumper. He died on the spot.

Even after two days, the body has been lying under the dumper and is still to be pulled out, sources added.

According to sources, police reached the spot today and has initiated measures to recover the dead body.
