Body of youth found floating in pond; murder alleged

Balasore: Body of a youth was found from a pond in Balarampur village in Baliapala in the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Renta Murmu of Balarampur village.

According to sources, Murmu went to one Benga Jena’s residence in the village at around 4 am today to consume country-made liquor.

He was found floating in Jena’s pond at around 10 am today, sources added.

Meanwhile, family members of the deceased have alleged that someone has murdered Murmu murdered and thrown his body to the pond.

Being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
