Body of slain Maoist leader handed over to family

Malkangiri: Body of slain Maoist leader Chinnabai, killed in a recent police-naxal encounter, was handed over to his family today after completion of necessary formalities.

The family of Chinnabai that hails from Andhra Pradesh had met the Malkangiri SP today to collect his body after which they were asked for identification of the same. The dead body had been kept at District Headquarters Hospital after post mortem.

Notably, Maoist commander Chinnabai of the AOBSZC’s Kalimela Dalam had been killed in a police-ultras encounter in Kapatuti forest of Chitrakonda on the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border in the wee hours of Saturday.
