Body of missing boy recovered from well

Bolangir: Police today recovered the body of a six-year-old boy from a well in Salepali village under Tusra police station limits.

Reports said Dinesh Pradhan, a six-year-old boy of Salepali village had gone missing since February 6. As the family could not trace his whereabouts despite frantic search, Janak Pradhan, father of the boy, had lodged a complaint in Tusra Police Station on February 10.

In course of investigation, police today found the body of the boy inside a well on the outskirts of Salepali village this morning.

Later, a fire brigade team rushed to the village and fished out the body from the well.

The body was later taken for post mortem.

In response to the claim of the family members that the boy has been murdered, police has detained one of the distant relative of the family for interrogation, the reports added.
