Bodies of woman, 5-yr-old daughter found in well

Angul: Bodies of a woman and five-year-old daughter were recovered from a well at Debhuin village under Kanhia police limits of the district today.

The deceased were identified as Uri Pradhan and daughter Sani Pradhan.

Police sent the bodies for post mortem after recovering them from the well and initiated an investigation into the deaths.

Though it has not been clear yet whether the woman and daughter committed suicide or murdered, the police detained Uri’s husband Tuna Pradhan for questioning.

Neighbours of the deceased stated the deaths could be a fall out of a family quarrel as the couple used to fight frequently.
