Paradip: In a heart-wrenching incident, bodies of four persons of a family were found floating in Mahanadi River near Shani Mandir of Jagnnathpur village in Paradip today.

The deceased have been identified as the family members of Ananta Sethi, who had died in an accident a few days back.

According to sources, bodies of Ananta's wife, two daughters and son were found floating with face downwards. The Kujang police reached the spot and later fished out the bodies from the river.

The deceased were residents of Jagnnathpur village. Though the reason behind the deaths is yet to be ascertained, the deceased woman's brother alleged that all the four have been murdered by someone to usurp property.

Meanwhile, police investigation into the incident is underway.

"Bodies will be sent for post mortem. After receiving the report and further investigation, details will be known," said Shiba Mallick, Tirtol SDPO.
