Bodies of missing students recovered from Gopalpur sea

Berhampur: After an intense rescue operation that lasted for nearly 73 hours, ODRAF, police and fire services team on Sunday recovered the bodies of A Lokesh Patra and D Hitesh Patra who were missing after drowning in Gopalpur sea on Friday.

According to reports, three youths- T. Sidharth Patra, A Lokesh and D Hitesh had went missing while taking bath at Gopalpur beach near Haripur ghat post Holi celebrations on Friday.

Sources said nearly 16 youths had gone to the sea after playing Holi when the incident occurred.
Though the body of Sidhart was recovered the same day, Lokesh and Hitesh were missing.

Sources said the bodies of both Lokesh and Hitesh was recovered some 2 kms away from Gopalpur port.
