Boudh: Manamunda police in Boudh today arrested a youth leader of district Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) allegedly for duping public through his company 'Go Life Trading Private Ltd'.
The arrested, Narayan Karmi, had allegedly promised high returns for the public investments. Through his company, Karmi assured the investors to double their invested money within three years and collected huge investments from them , sources said.
However, a case was lodged against the company as well as Karmi after he failed to return the money of the investors.
Based on the complaint, police initiated an investigation and arrested the leader today.
"After an investigation, we found that Narayan Karmi along with Munu Pradhan had self-designed a company named Go Life Trading Private Ltd. through which they collected money from the investors. We have arrested both of them. Further investigation is on," said Umakant Pradhan, IIC Manamunda PS.
Meanwhile, refuting all the allegations, the youth leader said," All the investors' money have been cleared and the complainants taken back their complaints. Because I was involved in politics, some persons who are against me have hatched a conspiracy. I have been arrested only due to a political conspiracy."
