Bhubaneswar: Demanding immediate ouster of Sam Pitroda from the post of Technical Advisor to the State government for his alleged involvement in the National Herald property grabbing case, the State unit of the BJP staged a demonstration at Master Canteen here on Sunday.

Vice-president of BJP's Odisha unit, Samir Mohanty said, the BJD and Congress have forged an 'unholy nexus' which is not a good sign for the State.

"The people of Odisha have always been deprived of their rights due such unholy alliance of the ruling party and the opposition," said Mohanty, adding that BJP would continue to fight to protect interest of the State.

Reacting on BJP's allegations, BJD spokesperson Dibyasankar Mishra said BJP should wait for court verdict on the case. "If the honourable court finds Pitroda guilty in the case, the govt will take necessary action," added Mishra.

Earlier on Saturday, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma while addressing a press conference had said, "Pitroda is a co-accused with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has given him a Cabinet Minister rank because BJD and Congress have internal relationship. Pitroda is close to the Gandhi family and acts as a bridge of link between them and Patnaik."
