Bhubaneswar: In view of the forthcoming panchayat polls early next year, the Odisha BJP on Friday said it will field candidates in all panchayats and zilla parishad zones in the State.

It was decided unanimously after a meeting attended by the senior leaders at party headquarters here today. They chalked out the action plan for the upcoming elections.

The saffron party would reach the people in rural areas with issues of State's failure in many sectors, party vice president of the Odisha unit Sameer Mohanty said. The party also vowed to take the centrally sponsored schemes for rural development to grassroots level.

This apart, Dana Majhi case, teachers and doctors' crunch, staff shortage in government offices would be the matter subject for the BJP in upcoming panchayat poll, Mohanty added.
