Bhubaneswar: Mocking  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for 'wrongly' condoling the death of erstwhile king of Paralakhemundi Gopinath Narayan Deb at a time when he is alive, BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar, has shared a video on her Facebook account. She stated that this sheer lack of knowledge of CM Patnaik  clearly proves he has lost connect with the state.

Samantsinghar alleged that such goof-up can happen when someone gets to know about all this from a 'clerk of third floor'.

Parala king Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deb's condition is said to be stable and at present he is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

"In a democratic set up, usually elected representatives rule but what is happening in Odisha is just the opposite. Odisha under Naveen Patnaik's regime is similar to that of Bahadur Shah Zafar whose administration was being run by his Wazirs," said Samantsinghar.

BJD spokesperson Sulochana Das admitted that Odisha government should have confirmed the news. But as few TV channels had also aired the wrong news following rumours about Maharaja's death, such mistake happened.
