BJP stages demo demanding return of percentage commission (PC)

Bhubaneswar: The law and legal affairs department of Odisha BJP on Friday staged demonstration before the Chief Engineer Building (Nirman Soudh) of Works Department here demanding return of the percentage commission (PC) taken from poor and general public.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has himself agreed that corruption is prevailing in his government and officers and ministers are taking percentage commission (PC). Even the Vigilance Director has informed about Rs 78 lakh of corruption in this form, said the BJP.

The party demanded the amount of percentage commission (PC) taken by the officers in the last 17 years rule of the Naveen government should be returned to the public.

Talking to OTV, Convenor of the BJP's legal affairs department, Suryanarayan Das, said, "The corruption is prevailing in knowledge of the government and as the Chief Minister said to return the percentage commission (PC), we demand the amount taken from innocent people in the last 17 years should be returned immediately."
