Bhubaneswar: In view of the sad demise of former Lok Sabha Speaker Rabi Ray, the State BJP today put on hold its proposed state wide stir to join the one-day state mourning which is being observed across Odisha in honour of the noted socialist leader, who died at 91 on Monday while undergoing treatment in Cuttack.

The BJP Krushak Morcha had called for state wide agitation protesting against the 'misleading' information of Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy over Bargarh farmer Hadu Bagarti's suicide.

State BJP president Basant Kumar Panda had informed that the party will demonstrate at all the District headquarters in the State demanding Maharathy’s resignation for allegedly giving false data on the suicide of the farmer.
