Bhubaneswar: A team of BJP delegates, led by party's State Vice-President Samir Mohanty, met Governor SC Jamir today over the alleged discrepancies in the poll expenses of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his party BJD.
The team submitted a memorandum to Jamir seeking his intervention on the issue.
Earlier on Friday, the BJP had moved the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking a probe into dubious poll funding charges against Patnaik.
Prior to it, a delegation of BJP including party national spokesperson Sambit Patra had met the Election Commission of India on Thursday demanding disqualification of Patnaik as a legislator for allegedly filing false poll affidavit.
The party had also moved the Income Tax Commissioner on Monday seeking a thorough inquiry into the alleged discrepancies.
