Bhubaneswar: With the state unit of BJP gearing up for its two-day national executive meeting next week, the party on Thursday, informed that the Centre will review the state government performance in implementing various centrally sponsored schemes and funds during the meet.

The BJP said it is a general process of review and not an exercise to create problems for the state government.  “Since many ministers and their department secretaries are arriving to attend the meet, they will look into how effectively central government schemes have been implemented,” party General Secretary Prithviraj Harichandan told mediapersons.  “Besides, the party will also look into how the central funds are being used by the state government,” he added.”

Meanwhile, the BJD has said it does not have any qualms about any review. However, party spokesperson Pratap Deb , stated,  the party’s national executive meet is necessarily an internal affair. ‘’There is no point to bring governance issue into the matter and disturb another state government,’’ he said, adding, ‘’the political picture they are trying to paint will have no political bearing on the state government. ‘’
