Bhubaneswar: At a time when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen the party organisation in the State, its Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray today alleged dilly-dallying by his own party-led government at the Centre and accused it of showing apathetic attitude towards the Steel City.

Ray alleged that Modi had promised construction of a second bridge over Brahmani river and upgradation of IGH, Rourkela, to a super-speciality hospital prior to the general elections and post poll period, but the projects are yet to see light of the day even after three years of BJP government .

I met Modi for seven times and reiterated the issues. I have taken the matter to the ministers concerned for 15-20 times and written to the central authorities many times but in vain. As the MLA of Rourkela, I am ashamed and feeling sad -  Dilip Ray

Meanwhile, Odisha BJP vice-president Sameer Mohanty said, "I understand the anguish of Ray but instead of going public, it's better to discuss the issues at party forum."
