BJP leader in trouble over cheating in marriage

Bolangir: State coordinator of BJP’s Skill India campaign, Hitesh Sahu has landed in controversy after his wife levelled charges of polygamy against him and lodged police complaint here seeking justice. Sahu is absconding, said police sources.

“My suspicion ran high after I found his photo with another woman posted on Facebook. I approached my in-laws where my brother-in-law threatened to let loose their dog on me. I lodged a complaint with police when I came to know that he married another woman secretly,” said Rasmita Sahu, the complainant.

“I want action against him. He doesn’t even have a job and is going around duping women!” she added.

According to sources, Rasmita and Hitesh met in Kolkata and fell in love. Later, she tied the nuptial knot with him at a temple in Bolangir, the home town of Hitesh. A baby girl was also born to them.

"Her husband has left her alone and married another woman after four years of their marriage. They also have a baby. A case in this connection was registered and investigation is on. We will take strict action based on investigation," Bolangir Town Police IIC Prashant Patnaik said.
