BJP issues deadline to Khurda Municipality

Khurda: The members of BJP Nagar Mandal today issued a deadline to the authorities of Khurda Municipality to resolve civic issues in the town.

The members took out a rally protesting lack of basic facilities including shortage of dustbins, deteriorating sewerage system and lack of street lights.

They asked the Khurda Municipality and the district administration officials to immediately resolve as many as 11 civic problems that the town has been grappling with.

Former Khurda MLA, Jitu Mitra said, “If the issues are not resolved within 15 days, the BJP will hit the roads and intensify its stir.”

On the other hand, officials of the Khurda Municipality said the issues will be resolved in phases.
