BJP claims Prasanna Acharya has links with Green Ray International

Bhubaneswar: Launching an attack on BJD MP Prasanna Acharya, the State unit of BJP today demanded a CBI probe into Acharya’s alleged links with chit fund company Green Ray International.

BJP legislator Pradip Purohit said during his tenure as the State’s health minister, Acharya showed undue favour to Green Ray and facilitated an agreement between the government and the chit fund company.

“The CBI should probe into the Acharya-Green Ray International nexus,” Purohit said.
Green Ray International had signed a Rs 80-crore drug manufacturing deal with the State government during Acharya’s tenure as health minister, Purohit claimed.

Refuting the charges, Acharya said, “If BJP has the evidence, they should hand it over to the CBI for investigation.”

He added, “A photo at a function does not establish anything. I am ready to face any kind of probe.”
