Kendrapara: Son of a BJP Zilla Parishad candidate was allegedly abducted at Tikanpur under Patkura police station in the district. A complaint was lodged with police in this regard.
Ganesh Kundu, the son of Sabitri Kundu, BJP Zilla Parishad candidate of zone number 10 under Patkura block in the district, was allegedly kidnapped last night while returning home from a campaigning.
Ganesh’s father Siba lodged a complaint at Patkura police station alleging that his son has been kidnapped by rival groups.
"I tried to contact him on his mobile phone since 9 pm last night. Later, I found his bike along with the keys lying on Tikanpur road. Feeling suspicious, I informed the police about the incident,"Siba said.
"I do not want election, I want my son back,"he added.
After the incident local party activists staged a road blockade at the Tikanpur road. Police have seized the bike and mobile of Ganesh and a scientific team has reached the spot for further probe.
