BJP blames Pratap Deb for egg attack on Jual Oram

Bhubaneswar: Alleging involvement of BJD Rajya Sabha member Pratap Deb in the egg attack on Union Minister Jual Oram at Rajkanika in Kendrapara, BJP today questioned why the State government has not nabbed those involved in the incident even after more than 24 hours.

Talking to mediapersons at the Aul bungalow, BJP State Mahila Morcha leader Sujata Barik stated the party has decided to launch a stir in coming days if no action is taken in this regard.

She further stated when the Sec 307 is clamped   for hurling eggs at the Chief Minister’s vehicle, why action has not been taken in the Oram case under the Atrocities Act.

Refuting the charges as baseless, BJD Kendrapara district general secretary Pradyumna Das said  MP Pratap Deb was not here when the incident occurred, how he can be blamed for the egg attack.

"The egg attack shows the rising anger of people against the BJP for its anti-Odisha acts; there’s no point in blaming BJD," said BJD Rajya Sabha member Pratap Deb.
