Bhubaneswar: Ruling BJD has asked its legislators and MPs to remain present at the State Assembly conference hall at 11 am tomorrow for a meeting with NDA’s presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind, informed the party’s spokesperson Samir Das today.

Das further stated as BJD has announced its support to Kovind, the MLAs and MPs should be present at the meeting tomorrow.

Asked on possible chances of BJD’s support to vice-presidential nominee of Opposition parties Gopal Krishna Gandhi, Das said the party chief will have the final say after holding talks with senior party leaders.

On query on rapport between Gopal Krishna and Naveen Patnaik, the BJD spokesperson replied, “Friendship and politics are on different tracks.”

Kovind is also scheduled to meet BJP legislators at around 2 pm tomorrow at legislature party leader KV Singh Deo’s house in Bhubaneswar.
