Bhubaneswar: Days after he got into a twitter war with his party colleague creating ripples in the political sphere, BJD MP Tathagat Satpathy today once again came down heavily on some leaders highlighting  the loopholes in the party to counter rivals.

He, however, patted party supremo Naveen Patnaik during his short speech in a party meeting ahead of the BJD government's third anniversary of its fourth term in power at a packed  auditorium here.

"The party lacks coordination among workers, MLAs and MPs. Groupism is raising its ugly head in the constituencies by creating a rift between MLAs and MPs  affecting the party and individuals ", Satpathy said while addressing the congregation of BJD leaders.

"We have sustained only because of Naveen Babu.  Otherwise we would have been eliminated", he added.

Highlighting the drawbacks of the party, the Lok Sabha member from Dhenkanal said the leaders seem to be working without a vision. "We are lacking in political vision. We can't make our stance clear against BJP and it cashes on it. But we are busy fighting among ourselves", the parliamentarian maintained.

There is an urgent need of spreading a clear message among the grassroots level workers, he maintained. "We should give a clear message  to the party workers that we are not going to make any alliance with BJP. We should not shift our stance repeatedly", Satpathy suggested.

However, his explosive speech came to an unpleasant  end after party general secretary Debi Mishra, who was moderating the programme, interrupted and whispered something in his ear. Satpathy left the podium in the middle of his speech.
