BJD activists clash during Lawyers' Day celebration in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A clash was reported between two BJD groups during 'Lawyers' Day' celebration in Bhadrak here on Saturday.

BJD's legal front had organised a public meeting in the district on the occasion.

As per reports, the incident occurred when the BJD activists were escorting Law Minister Pratap Jena to the meeting venue.

Supporters of Bhadrak district vice-president Amit Patnaik allegedly attacked the local youth BJD president Durga Das and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal president Tathagata Samal.

Though the reason behind the group clash is still unclear, infighting within the BJD is suspected behind such incident.

The law minister on the other hand refused to comment on the issue.
