Biju birth centenary celebrations conclude

Bhubaneswar: The concluding ceremony of the year-long Biju Patnaik’s birth centenary celebrations was held at the Adivasi Exhibition Ground here on Sunday coinciding with the state-level Panchayati Raj Divas Samaroh.

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik attended the event as chief guest. A documentary on Biju Babu was screened at the event, which was jointly organized by the Panchayati Raj and information and public relations (I&PR) Department.

Ministers of almost all departments, MPs, MLAs and other noted personalities joined the programme.

Notably, the ruling BJD has organised events throughout the year marking Biju Patnaik’s birth centenary.
