Bhubaneswar: BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra whose isolation from the party has been conspicuous over the recent past turned acrimonious today after party vice president Samir Mohanty said the former can leave if he doesn’t like the party and should not indulge in indiscipline.

Samir Mohanty’s statement came following ruckus during party’s Mishran Parva in Patkura, Kendrapara reportedly perpetrated by the supporters of Bijoy.

“If there are some incompatibility issues then he should come forward and bring it to the notice of the party. He doesn’t even subscribe to PM Narendra Modi’s views. If he doesn’t like the party he should quit. The State leadership will take action against him,” said Samir Mohanty.

Earlier today, Bijoy was expelled from the party’s Kendrapara district committee by the district party chief Durjyodhana Sahu.

“Mohapatra has been expelled from the district committee as a special invited member. Besides, recommendations have been made to the BJP State chief to expel him from the party,” Sahu told mediapersons.
