Bargarh: The search of BJP for a suitable candidate for the Bijepur bypoll in likely to end as former BJD MLA from the constituency Ashok Panigrahi on Thursday informed that he is going to join the saffron party on October 2.

Panigrahi will be joining BJP in presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at a ‘Mishran Parva’ of the party to be held at Jagannath Nagar in Barpali of Bargarh district.

Talking to OTV, Panigrahi said, "I am certainly going to join BJP on October 2 and all the preparations have been completed. I had sought blessings and suggestions of Bijepur people and accepting their mandate, decided to join the party. I also had a discussion with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding this."

Union Minister Jual Oram, BJP State President Basant Panda, BJP Padampur MLA Pradeep Purohit and BJP Brajrajnagar MLA Radharani Panda are also scheduled to attend the 'Mishran Parva', added Panigrahi.
