Bihar’s most-wanted criminal arrested from Puri  

Puri: In a significant breakthrough, the Chandanpur police of Puri district arrested most-wanted criminal Sanatan Mahanta of Bihar from the pilgrim town and forwarded him to court today.

According to sources, Sanatan, who is absconding for the last 14 years, has been staying in Puri for the last 10 years. The police grew suspicious of Sanatan’s movements after he was found roaming with a woman yesterday and interrogated before arresting him.

After committing a dacoity in 2013, he stayed in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar before moving to Puri. He has been working as a mason in the town to escape from police. He

Police said several cases are pending against him in Bihar.
