Bihar woman found dead in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police today revealed the identity of the woman whose body was recovered under mysterious circumstances from the Isaneswar forests under Chandrasekharpur police limits of the capital city on Wednesday.

Sources said the woman is a resident of Parsuram village under East Champaran Phelahar police limits of Bihar.

Locals had spotted the body and immediately informed police about the incident following which police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Sources said a bag containing identification documents and a mobile phone was also found lying near the body.

Police sources informed that when they tried to contact her family through the same mobile phone, neither the family responded nor anyone revealed any details regarding the woman.

Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi stated that a special investigation team of Commissionerate Police has been formed to conduct a probe in Bihar.

On the other hand, he said police has registered an Unnatural Death (UD) case as no complaints were lodged by anyone while further investigation into the incident is on.

Though the exact reason behind the incident has not been ascertained yet, it is suspected that the woman has been murdered, sources added.
