Bhubaneswar wakes up to light showers, cool breeze

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of the State including the Capital city witnessed light showers accompanied by cool breeze in the morning today , bringing relief to people who have been seeing day temperatures rise steadily over the last week.

Areas that received light rain in the city around 7 am included Vani Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Rajmahal, Kharavela Nagar, Baramunda and Nandankanan, Khandagiri and other pockets of the city.

Other parts of the State also witnessed the unseasonal light showers in the morning today. As per the prediction of Met department, cloudy condition will continue for next five days.

The showers occurred due to the trough line stretching from Sikkim up to the Himalayan region. Besides, most parts in the North, South and interior pockets of State also experienced light to moderate shower .
