Bhubaneswar: It was a close shave for nearly 155 passengers after an Air India flight from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar made an emergency landing at Mumbai airport on Monday.

According to reports, the flight AI-669 had to make the emergency landing after smoke was detected in its cockpit due to a suspected ‘technical snag’.

Though the exact cause of smoke was not immediately known, all the passengers are said to be safe.

According to reports, the smoke was detected by crew members of AI-669 in the cockpit, moments after takeoff at around 2.15 pm.

Meanwhile, another flight carrying the passengers left Mumbai airport at 4.15 pm and would arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) at 6.40 pm.
