Rourkela:  Passengers of Bhubaneswar-Anand Vihar Super Fast Weekly Express train were in a state of panic as they were stranded midway after the engine of the train got detached from the bogies this afternoon.

According to reports, the incident took place when the engine of this super fast train accidentally got detached from the bogies near Birajapalli about 10-15 minutes after leaving Rourkela Railway Station this afternoon.

However, the driver came to know about the incident after he found the bogies missing and drove the engine back about 2 kms.

Following information, senior Railway officials rushed to the spot.

The Express train was later taken back to Rourkela from where it again left for New Delhi after the change of another engine.
