Bhadrak: As the situation in violence-hit Bhadrak is limping back to normalcy, curfew was relaxed from 6 am to 8 pm on Tuesday .

Official sources said, in view of the present situation, a decision in this regard has been taken.

However, even after 18 days of eruption of violence in the town, the district administration continues with the night-time curfew to avoid any untoward incident of violence.

As per the damage assessment report of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Central Range, AB Ota, property worth Rs 9 crore was damaged in the violence.

Meanwhile, the State government has announced a special compensation package to provide relief to the victims of Bhadrak violence. The affected people would be entitled to get a maximum monetary assistance of Rs 2 lakh and a minimum of Rs 15,000, sources added.
