Kamakhyanagar: In a tragic incident, a security guard working at a beer factory was trampled to death by an elephant at Sogar under Paschimanchal range in Dhenkanal district last night.

The deceased, identified as Judhistir Sahu of Nuagaon village of Chhendipada, faced the wrath of the elephant while he had gone to a nearby field to attend the call of nature.

Forest department staff and local police reached the spot today morning to undertake a probe.
