Barabanka firing: Mastermind Naba Apat arrested

Gurudi: The mastermind behind the firing at Barabanka in Keonjhar District, Naba Apat has been arrested by police. Naba, the brother of former Keonjhar district BJD vice president Kusa Apat who is into mining business, has been forwarded to court after arrest.

Notably, on the evening of June 2, one Pradip Nayak was shot dead at Barabanka Jungle under Gurudi Police limits. The vehicle and the weapon used in the murder have been seized by police.

Police has detained the driver of the vehicle and is interrogating him for more information.

"Till now, we have arrested one person and another person is under our purview of investigation. Verification is going on based on the statements recorded,” said Badabil additional superintendent of police Dilip Kumar Sahani.
