Cuttack: Hopes of cricket lovers in Odisha to enjoy a T-20 match at their home ground Barabati Stadium were dashed after Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) today expressed helplessness to organise the match scheduled for November 4.

In a letter to BCCI, the State cricket body said the scheduled match between India and New Zealand is not possible as the famous Bali Jatra will begin from the same date at a ground which is adjacent to the stadium.
The BCCI has been urged to allot another match between Sri Lanka and India, OCA working committee chairman Dhiren Palei said.

Palei had earlier said that he received an official communication from BCCI regarding allotment of the T20 match between India and New Zealand to be played at Barabati on November 4.

The BCCI Tours and Fixtures Committee recently finalised the upcoming scheduled for team India that will play nearly 23 international matches starting from October to December this year, sources said.
