Puri: The Gundicha temple is all set for the Bahuda Yatra or return journey of Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannath towards their abode in the Srimandir today.

After an eight-day stay in the Gundicha temple, the divine siblings will return in their three respective chariots from the 'Adapa Mandapa' in Gundicha temple.

As per the ritual timings declared by the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), the Senapata ritual will be at 10.30 am and Bahuda Pahandi from 11 am to 1.30 pm. The Puri Gajapati will perform Chhera Pahanra ritual from 2 pm to 3 pm followed by loosening of Charamala.

Devotees will pull the three chariots at 3 pm, said the SJTA office.

While way back home, the Trinity will halt at the Mausima temple where the deities will be offered 'poda pitha' made of rice, jaggery, coconuts and lentils.

Lakhs of devotees have congregated at Puri to witness the Trinity’s Bahuda yatra.

Meanwhile, more than 100 platoons of police have been stationed by the district administration in the pilgrim town apart from deployment of CRPF, RAF, swift action forces.

Total 36 platoons of traffic police are also deployed for smooth movement of vehicles. The administration has set up 98 sealing points in Puri town. Parking areas have been earmarked at 17 places.

Besides, across the ‘Bada Danda’, 180 CCTVs have been installed to keep a tight vigil.

Devotees will pay obeisance to the deities seated on  their chariots during the 'Suna Besha' tomorrow.
