‘Bada Osha’ rituals performed at Dhabaleswar shrine

Athagarh: People in large number throng Dhabaleswar shrine to offer prayer to Lord Shiva on the occasion of ‘Bada Osha’ today.

The temple witnessed a heavy footfall as it was the last auspicious day of the holy month of Kartika.

As part of the rituals, ‘Gaja Bhoga’ was offered to the deity and later the prasad was distributed among the devotees.

Meanwhile, people are gearing up for Kartika Purnima, the full moon day of the Hindu month of Kartika, to be held tomorrow. Just at daybreak, men, women and children will afloat toy boats with lamps, betel leaves, crackers fruits and coins in nearest water bodies.
