Bhubaneswar: The AirAsia flight from Bhubaneswar to Kuala Lumpur was delayed for 10 hours on Wednesday due to fog and bad weather.

As per sources, the Malaysia bound plane which takes off from Biju Patnaik International Airport at 11.55 pm had to be called off with the authorities saying the flight was cancelled for the day as the weather was very foggy.

The flight has been re-scheduled to take off today at around 9.55 am.

Meanwhile, passengers have shown displeasure over irresponsible accommodation and food arrangements at the airport.

“We were asked to sit outside in the waiting hall and not allowed to make any accommodation for staying the night. This apart, the authorities have also not provided us food. Since we do not have Indian currency right now it has become really problematic for us and we blame the authorities for all this mess,” an Odia resident said.

Some other passengers also blamed the company for the cancellation of flight.

“Even though I arrived at 7.30 pm I got to know about the delay in flight after 9.30 pm. We tried to make arrangements for our lodging and staying but not even the company or the airport authorities showed interest to help us, Sourav Kumar Pal, a resident of Lucknow said.
