Jeypore: The State Women and Child Development minister Prafulla Samal today ordered a probe into the heartrending incident in which an infant was crying alone near her mother’s dead body near Borigumma.
The Koraput District Child Protection official has been asked to probe and submit a report on the incident. The minister added that the Home department is also requested to investigate the case and put the accused behind bars.
Samal further said, “The Women and Child Development department will ensure the child gets the best education and care.”
Meanwhile, Koraput SP Dr KV Singh said, “Three teams have been formed and are looking into every possible angle in the case.”
