Anandpur: Two police complaints were registered at the Ghasipura police station of Keonjhar district today after four Home Guards were injured in an attack of residents of Belbahali village yesterday.

Out of the two complaints, one was registered by the residents of Belbahali village alleging Debapriya Patra, son of Minister Badri Narayan Patra, and his aide threatened Belbahali villagers while showing guns.
Prashant Kumar Sahu, a resident of Belbahali, said, “Butulu and Biju brandished guns before us. Therefore, we got frightened. However, they ran away before other villagers reach there.”

On the other hand, the minister’s son said while passing the village some youths holding lathis were standing near a hump and solded him in filthy languages.

Meanwhile, an injured Home Guard said some youths of the village, who were scolding the minister’s son, came to us after Patra left and inquired what discussion was going on with him.

Harihara Behera, the injured Home Guard, said, “After talking to the minister’s son, we were beaten up and dragged into the village. The youths forced us to give a written statement saying Butulu and his aide had come here.”
