Astha properties to be auctioned today

Bhubaneswar: Seized properties of the chit fund company - Astha Group of Companies - will be auctioned on Friday.

According to sources, land belonging to the chit fund company located under Chattrapur and Chilika tehsils will be auctioned today.

The base price for the land measuring 3 acres and 537 decimals of owned by the Ponzi firm has been set at Rs 1.42 crore. Online bidding for the sale of the land will be held between 11 am to 3 pm today, the sources added.

Notably, the company had opened 8-10 branch offices in various places in the state, including Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Balasore, Rourkela, Balugan and Keonjhar. Sources in the CBI said that the company has duped nearly 10,000 investors in Odisha of at least Rs 100 chores.
