Asst Engineer in Vigilance net

Dhenkanal: The Vigilance sleuths of the Dhenkanal wing today conducted simultaneous raids on the office and houses of Shankarsan Khuntia, Assistant Engineer, Sadar Block.

Reports said the anti-corruption officials raided Khuntia’s office and house at Kunjakanta in Dhenkanal town, another house at Mathakaragola village under Kamakhyanagar block and a third house in Jamusara village under Gondia block.

During the raid, the Vigilance officials verified his bank passbooks, movable and immovable assets amounting to over Rs 50 lakh.

The raids were continuing till reports last came in.

Notably, Khuntia has gone on a long leave.
