Mumbai/ Bhubaneswar: The diva with a golden voice, Asha Bhosle will soon be heard in an Odia song composed by the ace musician and singer Shankar Mahadevan. The iconic singer today informed about her latest Odia song on Twitter.

Bhosle mentioned that she finished recording an Odia song by Mahadevan along with her granddaughter Zanai.

While Mahadevan had performed revered Sambalpuri song Rangabati during the inaugural function for Asian Athletics Championships last month, Bhosle had paid a visit to Bhubaneswar in 2011 to receive the Akshay Samman in memory of the legendary Odia musician Akshay Mohanty.

She had first sung for an Odia film (Samaya) in 1975 and the song ‘jhimi jhimi jhimika majaa' remains popular even today.  Among other Odia songs, she had also sung for 1992 film Maa for which husband and legend RD Burman had composed. That was also the last time she had sung for an Odia film.
