Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today appointed 11 new spokespersons including two former ministers Arun Kumar Sahoo and Debi Prasad Mishra and newly joined Sulochana Das.

The 11-member team of party spokespersons includes two MPs Prasanna Acharya, Pratap Keshari Deb and five MLAs including Samir Ranjan Dash, Amar Prasad Satapathy and Debashish Samantaray.

Prasant Nanda, Rabi Narayan Nanda and Sasmit Patra also found place in the list.

Debi Mishra, who was a former minister in Naveen’s Cabinet, will also be holding the post of party vice president.

Arun Sahoo, the former Law Minister has been given charge of general secretary (students’ wing) and made the observer for Mayurbhanj district after he was dropped from the State Cabinet.

Minister Pratap Jena, Sashi Bhusan Behera and Surya Narayan Patro were dropped from the list of spokespersons.

On the other hand, MLAs Raseswari Panigrahy and Byomakesh Ray and other leaders Subash Singh, Mihir Mohanty, Tejeshwar Parida, Lenin Mohanty, Chinmoy Sahoo, Rana Pratap Patra, Debasish Marandi, Santosh Amat and Sulata Deo have been appointed panelists.

Rajendra Prasad Dholkia was named as the party’s Nuapada district president.
