Armed miscreants loot cash from finance company

Sambalpur: Armed criminals today looted lakhs of rupees from a private finance office at Budharaja under Ainthapali police station in Sambalpur. The exact loot amount has not been ascertained.

Two miscreants entered the office and pushed the security guard at the entry point. Later, three others barged into the office, security guard said.

“One of them threatened me at gunpoint while others snatched the mobile phones from other staff and locked the office from inside. Later, they dragged the cashier out of the counter and looted the cash before escaping through back side of the office. They remained inside the office for around 10 minutes,” security guard said. All were conversing in Hindi, he added.

The company staffer informed the police who rushed to the spot and started investigation.
